Gandhi Jayanti 2024 (2024-10-02)

Mahatma Gandhi once proclaimed, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” Every year on the 2nd of October, we commemorate Gandhi Jayanti to honour the birth and enduring legacy of the Father of the Nation. This year, the kinderworld (pre-primary) and primary students of Ragendra Swarup Public School wholeheartedly embraced the ethos of the Clean India Mission, initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 2nd October 2014. The students participated in a distinguished Swarupians Social Responsibility (SSR) campaign, bringing brooms and cloths from their homes to clean the school. The day commenced with a poignant assembly led by the spirited students of Class V, who serenaded the audience with a soulful rendition of “Raghupati Raghav Rajaram” in homage to Mahatma Gandhi. Through their captivating performances, the students eloquently echoed Gandhiji’s teachings of non-violence and truth, disseminating a message of unity, peace and the paramount importance of maintaining cleanliness in our surroundings, just as the Mahatma envisioned for our nation.
